Parrish Family

The Parrish family lived not far south of Lufkin, but two of the sons, Hamilton and Hollis, opened a service station in Burke shortly after World War I. Later when Hamilton died from wounds suffered in World War I, Hollis and Hamilton's widow sold the station to their sister Tusie and her husband Claude Smith, who operated the store until they sold it to Sam Courtney in 193____.

Hollis and Hamilton's brother Lloyd later owned and operated Lufkin Supply in Lufkin.
